Synopsis

The series begins with Ben Tennyson at school, showcasing the boy's immaturity. As classes come to an end, Ben sets off for summer vacation in his grandfather Max's RV, and to his surprise, his cousin Gwen will be joining them. Ben and Gwen have never gotten along well, often leading to quick arguments. While camping in the woods, Ben, frustrated with Gwen, decides to take a walk. Meanwhile, a battle is raging in space between two alien ships: one piloted by an unknown figure at the start of the series, and a larger ship commanded by Vilgax, the main villain. Vilgax is determined to seize a powerful device known as the Omnitrix. His ship completely destroys the one carrying the Omnitrix, but before it is obliterated, the pilot retaliates with an attack that severely injures Vilgax. In a desperate move, the pilot launches the Omnitrix towards Earth, the only way to prevent it from falling into the villain's hands. The Omnitrix lands almost directly on top of Ben, creating a small crater in the ground. Curious about the commotion, Ben approaches and mistakes the device for a watch due to its similar appearance. However, when he reaches out to grab the Omnitrix, it attaches itself to his wrist. Despite his efforts to remove it, the Omnitrix remains firmly in place. As he fumbles with it, Ben accidentally spins a dial that activates the device, projecting a silhouette image. When he presses the dial again, Ben transforms into a fiery creature. Panicking, he screams and runs, believing he is on fire, but soon realizes he feels no pain and discovers he can shoot fireballs from his hands, inadvertently igniting a forest fire. After extinguishing the blaze with the help of Gwen and Max, Ben explains the details of his transformation into this creature. As the adventure unfolds, the trio must navigate the challenges that come with the Omnitrix and the looming threat of Vilgax.
