Unigenesis - The Universal Origin
The Beginning#
In the beginning, there was nothing but a tiny grain, almost like a seed. At a certain moment, something caused this grain to explode, and from that explosion emerged a constant and turbulent chaos.
Chaos endured for ages until, one day, like a lake struck by a stone, it gradually settled. Chaos, now in balance, gave rise to two equal and opposing forces: light and darkness, calm and storm, heat and cold, Yin and Yang. Yin, the essence of creation, and Yang, the essence of destruction, existed in constant equilibrium. Destruction brought renewal, while creation inevitably generated destruction.
After countless cycles, these energies, in their endless interaction, gave birth to the five original elements, which became the foundation of the universe — the beginning of all things. Yet none of them would exist without the driving force that permeates them: the Aether. It is the result of the balance between Yin and Yang, and the very essence of creation and renewal.
The five elements are: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Through their interaction with the Aether, the first traces of consciousness emerged, giving birth to the first beings of the universe: the Primordials. They were not physical beings, but conscious manifestations of energy itself — energies that spread throughout the cosmos and gave rise to the celestial bodies.
The Cosmic Genealogy#
With water as the foundation, earth began to gather and solidify, and from it fire emerged. Within the stars, this gave rise to an endless combustion caused by the origin of fire, overpowering its balance with water. On the planets, however, fire acted by melting the earth into magma and creating volcanoes, shaping the surface into stone where metal settled. Water, when touched by fire, transformed into air and filled the skies with its breeze and freshness. Thus, the planets were formed.
As time passed, in some cases no atmosphere was formed, and the air faded away. In others, the immense volume of vapor in the skies condensed into clouds, which became droplets, and with them came the rain. Through its relentless constancy, rain dissolved and eroded the rocks, forming soil rich in minerals and nutrients.
Within this soil, in rare cases, the first traces of life blossomed. They emerged from the germination of the essence of the wood element, which developed into the origin of all life: the majestic World Tree. In every inhabited world, a sprout of this glorious tree was born at the moment of creation. It is the vessel of life itself, and everything that breathes is its child.
The World Tree#
The World Tree is the bridge that connects every inhabited world within creation, and from it originates the Goddess of Life, both intertwined through the origin of their existence: the element and consciousness of wood.
Through the breathing process of this tree, pure Aether — which no mortal being is capable of sensing or manipulating — is consumed, and the product of this respiration, poured over the worlds as the force of life itself, is known by many names: Mana, Aura, Ki, Vital Force, and others. As it interacts with the elements present within the atmosphere, Mana may undergo transformations, causing it to develop different characteristics.
Each culture learned to manipulate and use it in different ways, which is why so many distinct names and systems exist.
The Primordial Beings#
Although they originated from the original elements, they are not limited to them, for through the interaction of these elements, countless sub-elements were born. For example:
Water interacting with fire gave rise to Air.
Earth interacting with wood gave rise to Life.
And through countless other interactions, many different elemental forms emerged.
Beyond them, Yin and Yang themselves eventually developed their own consciousnesses.
Some of the Primordial Beings include:
- The Divine Dragon — The Origin of Dragons, the very essence of Aether itself. It is the personification of the cosmic force that unites all elements and gives form to matter. The Dragon God is regarded as the guardian of the vital energies that flow throughout the universe, governing the currents of power and the paths of evolution. Although many perceive the Dragon God as benevolent, it is, in truth, a neutral force that acts only to preserve the eternal flow of energy within the cosmos, unconcerned with morality or destiny. To it, creation and destruction are merely necessary parts of an endless cycle, and its purpose is to ensure that this cycle continues in harmony.
- The Elemental Gods — The living personifications of the Original Elements. These deities are responsible for maintaining order and harmony across the planes of existence, governing the fundamental aspects of matter and energy. Each is deeply connected to the dynamics of creation and plays a vital role in maintaining balance between worlds.
- ...
The Primordial Beings play an essential role not only in creation itself, but also in the dynamic balance of the universe. Each of them, with their unique essences and powers, directly influences the galaxies and celestial bodies that compose reality. Their energies circulate and interact continuously, maintaining the eternal flow that sustains the cosmos.
The Ancestral Gods#
This is the name given to beings born alongside their respective celestial bodies. During the formation of a star or planet, the concentration of energy may become so immense that, at a certain point, the celestial body develops consciousness.
This phenomenon is more common among stars due to their overwhelming levels of energy, though it may also occur with planets — albeit more rarely, and usually resulting in weaker beings when compared to those born from stars.
This means that the hierarchy of these beings is largely defined at their creation, though it may evolve over time as these gods grow stronger. The hierarchy is as follows:
Primordials > Galactic Gods > Stellar Gods > Planetary Gods
In other words, stellar gods commonly influence the development of nearby planets, especially those within their own star systems. A god may conquer the territory of others, increasing its own power and influence, or unite with others to form a pantheon.
It is also important to note that all beings — including the ancestral gods — ultimately originate from the Primordial Beings. Some resemble them more closely than others, but all carry traces of them, since the Primordials are the foundation of everything within the universe.
The Realms of Existence#
The Gods do not exist on the same realm as mortals, but instead dwell within the Celestial Realm, and strict limitations govern the interactions between different realms. These realms are not physical locations in space, but overlapping vibrational dimensions. The distinction between them is defined by the purity and concentration of Aether. The higher the realm, the closer consciousness is to the origin of creation.
1 — The Celestial Realm (Nine Heavens)#
The pinnacle of existence and the home of the Primordial and Ancestral Gods, as well as those who achieved Transcendence.
Nature: A state of absolute harmony between Yin and Yang.
Restriction: Beings from lower realms cannot withstand the immense energetic pressure of this realm. Their physical forms would disintegrate under the purity of the Aether before even crossing its threshold. It is the domain of immortality and the fundamental laws of existence.
2 — The Mortal Realm (The Domain of the World Tree)#
This realm is the heart of physical creation, where energy is processed into life. It is divided into two levels of consciousness:
-
Material Realm: Composed of planets and galaxies with low Mana density. This is where civilizations are born, struggle, and die, often unaware of the higher forces that govern existence.
-
Realm of Passage: A dimension that acts as the connective “fabric” linking all galaxies within the Mortal Realm. It is through this realm that the deepest roots of the World Tree extend. Only beings who have "surpassed their physical limitations" are capable of navigating it, using it as a bridge toward the Celestial Realm.
3 — The Lower Realm (The Abyss of Shadows)#
While the higher realms tend toward balance or light (Yang), the Lower Realm is the destination of dense, corrupted, or purely destructive energies.
-
Underworld: The final stage of the biological cycle. It is where the “echo” of mortal souls returns to be judged by the gods or recycled within the cycle of reincarnation.
-
Purgatory: A vibrational “cosmic landfill.” Species that failed their evolution, mindless monsters, and unstable elemental residues become trapped within this stagnant realm.
-
Hell: Not merely a place of punishment, but a dimensional prison. It is where entities whose existence threatens the balance between Yin and Yang are sealed away. A realm of torment, where energy is constantly destroyed so that it cannot contaminate the higher realms.
